Well the year is almost over and between the hectic atmosphere of the holidays and being sick for a week has certainly put a strain on my hobby time, but I have gotten a few things in.

Preparing Innsmouth for TundraCon and Adepticon to run a Cthulhu/ Lovecraft inspired scenario for the Raid on Innsmouth. Between painting and crafting terrain as well as playtesting numerous rules I’ve been quite busy on this project. The playtesting has been difficult to say the least as I’m trying to create a balance between each player controlling a number of troops and investigators where they are leading them against the throngs of deep ones and hybrids attacking them all sandwiched in a neat convention time space while creating interesting choices in the scenario. I haven’t quite found my magic formula yet.

To complicate matters of making my deadline my fdm printer has been having issues lately so I’m short a couple buildings. I certainly won’t have the dock area board I wanted to have done by TundraCon, but I should by Adepticon. Fingers crossed. We’ll see.

Some of the boards in the pics aren’t quite done yet (need static grass and some puddles primarily) and some of the minis aren’t done particularily bases, but I had to get some figures on the board to playtest.

At some point I have to start working on our Iron Dice Gaming club’s WWII early war France board for both Bolt Action and Chain of Command we intend to run at Adepticon. If it wouldn’t be for my inability to stay focused on one area of my hobbies this would be easy! Too many distractions! I’m sure no one else has this problem…. I need to clone myself for greater productivity.

Coming up more on this board, start of the WW2 France board, Bolt Action for AdeptiCon, Deadman’s Hand and Battletech. Well Merry Christmas to everyone out there or Happy Holidays if that’s more you’re thing. Hopefully we can all get some hobby time in before the end of the year!

It’s ironic isn’t it? Take a game to a show or convention with one unfinished base on it and everyone will spot it and comment!
Regards, Chris.
