Hey everyone. It’s a nice fall Sunday and I think it’s time for a little update on the studio. We are still here and kicking and IDG isn’t going anywhere.

It’s been a hot minutes since we posted here or on social media. While we have been trying to take a break from socials we are still plugging away on our projects. We have about 30 articles in various stages of construction and a core of projects and articles most of the way cooked. So… status normal. Haha…
We hit a bit of a stall with the whole Plastic Soldier Company not paying their authors thing that took place about a month ago. Battlegroup has quickly become one of our favorites but we couldn’t support a company that didn’t take care of its people. We whole heartedly support the authors Warwick Kinrade and Piers Brand. This left us a bit dead in the water until it was hopefully sorted out. Luckily, the issues have started to be resolved and Battlegroup 2.0 is on the way. Hurrah!

Actually, I am very excited for two of the stalled written article series because the subjects really stoke my hobby fire. We have a series coming on how to build 15mm WWII vehicle variants and another on taking a force from a particular engagement from the idea phase to tabletop. The first force is 80% painted but I am procrastinating on doing the fun part… vehicles. So… stand by for those I suppose. Maybe this post will push me to commit and do them up.

Truth be told it is a bit disheartening to have all the AI slop to compete with. I feel that with that content spectre lurking it’s more important than ever to keep putting out things that were are passionate about. Life continues to be busy and the little brain power left at the end of the day has been devoted to projects instead of writing. That said, hopefully our momentum has picked up and we’ll finish up the stuff to get things out the door.

In addition to the articles we are still on the cusp of doing video content and jumping back into the History to Hobby Podcast. We have some reinvigorated interest in some hard sci-fi and in combined arms BattleTech. So those little side ventures will also rear their heads at some point.

We are also knee deep in our Adepticon 2027 projects so maybe we will do some stuff relating to that.

In any case, as I said, we aren’t dead and neither is the blog.
