May 2024 Hobby Update
I’m back from my real job induced short break and ready to cover how my hobby plans for the year have been thrown out the window and replaced with different things and how I’ve had the 3D printer humming since I returned home a week ago. 28mm Originally I had wanted to spend my 28mm energies this year on WW2 Pacific focused things, particularly IJA … Continue reading May 2024 Hobby Update
Windhund Vor! The 116th Panzer Division Project
For my first Battlegroup experience I chose the 116th Panzer Reconnaissance Battalion. Zippy Sdkfz 250 halftracks backed up by armor? Yee-haw! Continue reading Windhund Vor! The 116th Panzer Division Project
Reviving an Old Mule Part Three: The Rolling Stock
Now that we have the engine sorted it’s time for the rolling stock. Like the pannier engine I had two goods wagons, a flatcar, and a liquid tank car primed and sitting in the pile of shame for a few years. It was high time to change that. 2024 Hobby Goals
As 2024 begins (or more accurately continues, as I am still writing this in late January Mid-February) I start to wonder what kind of projects await for me in the new year. Continue reading 2024 Hobby Goals
Terrain Tutorial: Concrete
This is how I do my basic concrete look. The project is a couple of water tanks for the Adepticon Stalingrad table or it could also be used for a number of other industrial set ups. I’ve seen a ton of other awesome methods out there, but I have a lot of terrain to paint and don’t have the time to spend days on these so this is what you get! Hopefully it’s effective enough and helpful. Continue reading Terrain Tutorial: Concrete
Drew’s 2024 Hobby Goals
2024… for some reason always seemed like a number from the distant future, but here we are! Time to set some hobby goals. I have a ton of gaming interests and unfortunately, like the majority of you, limited time. Especially working full time, having a toddler and multiple gaming interests along with all the other family and friend commitments. Enough of my excuses… damnit! Did Alexander the Great make … Continue reading Drew’s 2024 Hobby Goals
Reviving an Old Mule Part One: Sarissa Precision MDF Train
And there the train sat, that is until Drew, Evan, and I decided to run some events for Adepticon 2024. During one of our planning calls Drew and I decided to include a train and several factory buildings on our grain elevator table. Continue reading Reviving an Old Mule Part One: Sarissa Precision MDF Train
