This year I ran “Hold the Line – Siege of Bastogne” – for Bolt Action with the 101st holding the line in the Ardennes. I based it mostly on the scenario from the Battle of the Bulge campaign book. I purposely left the board 4×4 instead of 6×4 and fully covered in woods to really bring home the feeling of lack of visibility and confinement being in the frozen forest. This scenario is in the Battlegroup Kursk book, and is geared towards a demo/learning game of Battlegroup. It’s a Squad sized game, so relatively quick. This is played in 15mm, on a 4×6 table. I’ve matched the table the best I could, along with the army lists. The minor change I’ve made is a Soviet T-60 instead of T-70, as I didn’t have a T-70 painted.
