This scenario is in the Battlegroup Kursk book, and is geared towards a demo/learning game of Battlegroup. It’s a Squad sized game, so relatively quick. This is played in 15mm, on a 4×6 table. I’ve matched the table the best I could, along with the army lists. The minor change I’ve made is a Soviet T-60 instead of T-70, as I didn’t have a T-70 painted.

German Forces – Total Battle Rating 18.
- Grenadier Platoon
- Sdkfz. 233 (scout)
- Sdkfz. 232 8 rad (scout)
- PAK38 AT Gun w/ Truck Tow
- PZ.4 G

Soviet Forces – Total Battle Rating 15
- Rifle Platoon
- Sniper Team (Scout)
- Med. Mortar Team
- PTRD Team
- 45mm AT Gun w/ Truck Tow
- BA-10 (Scout)
- T-60 (Scout)
- T-34 76

Deployment starts with placement of Objectives and each sides Scout units. Objectives are placed in each sides half, not within 10″ of any table edge. Units are placed alternately. Which side places first is determined by a die roll (D6 +number of scout units)
Terrain: Mostly open country, with some tall grass/wheat fields (light cover). 1 woods thicket area in the center (blocks LOS, light cover), various scrubby areas, farm fences (light cover).
