Ben – Ben has been gaming since 2013 but got serious when he met his now regular gaming group in 2019. He has a passion for WWII that started in his formative years with the old History Channel. Bolt Action was Ben’s WWII ruleset of choice until he found Chain of Command. Now Chain of Command is his game of choice. He has an unspoken goal of collecting a 28mm force for every WWII combatant country. Ben dabbles and samples many games and systems but he insists he only has room in his brain for five core games. He is also usually laboring away at increasing his pile of shame with his resin 3D printer and or credit card. Ben gets a lot of joy from sharing the hobby with anyone who will listen and even with those who won’t. In 2025 he started podcasting again as a host of the WWII wargaming show, History to Hobby.
Evan – Evan has been playing tabletop wargames since 2016, with a background in scale model airplanes (and some other things) prior to that. His current line of of games is Bolt Action, Chain of Command, Bag the Hun, Blood Red Skies, Spectre Operations, Skirmish Sangin, InCountry, Killwager, Age of Sigmar, and Blood Bowl. He is a full fledged convert to WW2 games (thanks to Ben), the WW2 aerial wargames are his games of choice. He is a host on the semi-regular WWII gaming podcast History to Hobby.
Drew – Drew has been gaming since the mid-eighties (yes last century….) He started with a variety of tabletop RPGs which he still plays regularly to this day. Battletech, in the 80’s, was his first introduction into wargames which he recently picked up again. He started playing Warhammer 40k with 1st edition Rogue Trader followed by later editions of 40k, Epic 40k, Battlefleet Gothic and Necromunda as his tabletop choice for the following decades. He has always had a passion for WW1 and WW2 history, digesting whatever he could on those periods, but his wargaming in this area was limited to board games (another passion of his) and computer games. He dabbled in Flames of War for a few years, but he had no one to play with at the time as his miniature wargame friends were mostly into sci fi based games. A few years back he made the acquaintance of Ben, who was a big factor in convincing him to take the plunge into historical miniature wargaming, particularly WW2. In Fall of 2020 he picked up a Bolt Action starter set, fell in love and in no time amassed numerous armies. He loves to make terrain and create an immersive narrative in his gaming. The rest is history.
Teddy – An avid lover of all things Greek and wargaming, he played Warhammer back in 6th edition with his beloved guard army. Now-a-days he prefers World War II gaming and can be seen passionately working on an all-female soviet army. Teddy is the owner of Adventure Games and Kick Ass Mail Order. He is an ideas man and a mover and shaker. He however refused to write a biography only offering, “It was a foreboding & stormy night when he entered the world……….” I guess this is what he gets.
Anthony – Anthony started tabletop wargaming with Bolt Action in 2019. Since then he has branched out to ultramodern and modern wargames. He has a love for World War II and the Cold War. He can normally be found planting and preparing projects after methodical research into the forces and their composition. Anthony also neglected to return my request for a biography. Oh well!
Josh – Josh has been in the hobby since the spring of 2024, and has fallen absolutely head over heels in love with it. He especially loves the Warhammer 40K universe, diving into the lore, painting, modeling, and gameplay. In addition, he has found additional games that have caught his interest, most recently BLKOUT. Honestly, he has no idea why he was invited to a sophisticated group of historical war gamers, but he just is happy to be here and be a part of it, even if they make him go play with his Warhammer dollies in the corner sometimes.
